The World's Most Expensive General Hobby

...well, at least I think so.

I went book-shopping today, and after the great famine of July, I went slightly crazy and bought seven fiction books, totaling seventy-eight dollars. So...eleven per book.
Good lord, it's good to have books.

  • Books One and Two of The Dresden files. I read an excerpt of Butcher's writing and decided I like it very much. And I have a secret soft spot for PI stuff. Coupled with my love for the supernatural..Yum.
  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. XD I HAVE to read this.
  • The Sequel to Stargirl. I need this to give me closure.
  • Waiting for Godot. A bit of a prep for Philosophy class at Cal.
  • The Gun Seller. Hugh Laurie wrote this. He is the type of person that should write books. So I bought it.
  • The Book of Dead Philosophers. >_> Prep for school and future snobbery.
Talking about books, I also got my textbooks. It's CRAZY. $147 dollars, and all paperback.
Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, Dostoevsky, Godard, and a Chinese primer.
Mr. Humanities-Snob, however, has close to seven hundred dollars worth of thick textbooks, charts, and mathematical miscellany.
Good Grief!
I might actually like college, if only for the light backpack.

Oh, yeah, I move in next week, and I am not in the least prepared...We haven't bought my supplies at all. :\ I'm still living as if school's a month away. *sigh*

Watch for a movie review next. Today is a double-post day.
